Meditasie Nasie is gebore uit ‘n intense harts behoefte om vir ons mooi nasie ‘n bietjie verligting te verskaf en ‘n kort wegraping van die harwar van die lewe te inspireer.
‘n Paar oomblikke van stilte en verplasing na ‘n ewigheids-wêreld van stilte, vrede en dankbaarheid vir enige klein dingetjie wat dikwels sonder aandag voortgaan. Net ‘n paar oomblikke van herkalibrasie.
‘n Gesonde gemoedstoestand bemagtig ons om die lewe met meer kalmte, geduld, dieper insig, begrip en wysheid aan te vat en selfs om gelukkig te wees onder moeilike omstandighede.
Diep rustige asemhaling is fisiologies die gesondste, maklikste ding om te doen. Elke sel in jou liggaam kry meer suurstof en funksioneer beter en dit verbeter onmiddelik en spesifiek jou breinfunksie.
Jou brein skei hormone af met élke emosie wat jy beleef. Elke WhatsApp en Facebook video, elke koerant berig of TV ervaring, gesprek en gedagte wek ‘n ‘gevoel’. Konstante negatiewe gedagtes en gevoelens van hulpelose oorweldiging veroorsaak ‘n stroom “Veg of Weghardloop” hormone soos adrenalien wat kan lei tot enorme ongemak, bloeddruk probleme, siek selle, swak voedsel vertering, depressie en angstigheid.
Die gevoel van byvoorbeeld dankbaarheid skei hormone in jou brein af wat lei tot ‘n positiwiteit waar helder denke, geluk, gesondheid, vrolikheid, kreatiwiteit, welsyn en ‘n gesonde gemoedstoestand kan groei en floreer.
Breinfunksie en Hormone is intens en wonderlik kompleks maar ons kán ons emosies bestuur met fokus op asemhaling en gedagte verskuiwing. In ‘n oorvereenvoudigde neutedop; Hormone wat jou gesond kan maak en laat goed voel: Dopamien, Oksitosien, Serotonien en Endorfiene. Hormone wat jou siek kan maak en laat sleg voel in aanhoudende oordosisse: Adrenalien en Kortisol.
Daaglikse herinnering aan ons inhirente vermoe om onsself na ‘n rustige spasie te verplaas waar wêreld gebeure, wat in elk geval buite ons beheer is en ons dikwels magteloos laat voel, in ‘n ander perspektief plaas. Dit gee ons brein, hart en hele liggaam ‘n kans om energie te fokus op ons eie gesondheid op ‘n sellulêre en siels vlak.
Volhou die gevoel van Dankbaarheid vir ‘n paar minute en dit lig jou gedagtes en gevoelens op na alles wat op jou doodsbed belangrik sal lyk. Geen politikus of virus of situasie sal in jou belangrikste oomblikke op aarde, ‘n sekonde se tyd verdien nie. Jy sal outomaties fokus op al die Liefde, Genade, Omgee en al die Goeie dinge, mense en ervarings in jou lewe.

Meditation Nation was born out of an intense heart’s desire to provide some relief to our beautiful nation and to inspire a brief break from the hustle and bustle of life.
A few moments of silence and relocation to an eternal world of silence, peace and gratitude for every little thing that often goes on without attention. Just a few moments of recalibration.
A healthy state of mind empowers us to approach life with more calm, patience, deeper insight, understanding and wisdom and even to be happy in difficult circumstances.
Deep calm breathing is physiologically the healthiest, easiest thing to do. Every cell in your body gets more oxygen and functions better and it immediately and specifically improves your brain function.
Your brain secretes hormones with every emotion you experience. Every WhatsApp and Facebook video, every newspaper report or TV experience, conversation and thought evokes a ‘feeling’. Constant negative thoughts and feelings of helpless overwhelm cause a stream of “Fight or Flight” hormones such as adrenaline which can lead to enormous discomfort, blood pressure problems, sick cells, poor food digestion, depression and anxiety.
The feeling of gratitude, for example, secretes hormones in your brain that lead to a positive mind set where clear thinking, happiness, health, cheerfulness, creativity, well-being and a healthy state of mind can grow and flourish.
Brain function and Hormones are intense and wondrously complex but we can manage our emotions with a focus on breathing and thought shifting.
In an oversimplified nutshell; Hormones that can make you healthy and make you feel good: Dopamine, Ocytocine, Serotonin and Endorphins.
Hormones that can make you sick and make you feel bad in persistent overdoses: Adrenaline and Cortisol.
Daily reminders of our inherent ability to move ourselves to a peaceful head space where world events, which are in any case beyond our control and often make us feel powerless, is seen from a different perspective.
It gives our brain, heart and whole body a chance to focus its energy on our own health, on a cellular and soul level.
Hold the feeling of Gratitude for a few minutes and it lifts your thoughts and feelings to everything that will seem important on your deathbed. No politician or virus or situation will earn a second of your attention in these most important moments on earth. You will automatically focus on all the Love, Grace, Caring and all the Good things, people and experiences in your life.
